Currently holding the position of Vice-Dean in the School of Health (Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal). Previous qualifications include: Master of Sciences in International Health at Queen Margaret University College (1994) and BSc (honours) in Physiotherapy (1991).
Areas of interest – Ageing, namely the promotion of health and functional ability of older people, sedentary lifestyle and prevention of falls. Additional research interest is focused on the impact of international experiences on students in higher education.
