Age.Comm’s objectives are:

a) To develop applied research in the social and health areas, contributing to the innovation of services, products, policies, solutions and technologies, aimed at a development throughout the life cycle, in the territories or communities where the individuals are integrated.

b) To promote research programs in association with organizations in the social, health and other areas that develop activities related to aging or with aging populations.

c) Encourage the transfer of knowledge and skills to communities, responding to the problems and needs of local and regional organizations.

d) To consolidate postgraduate training activities, mobilizing young researchers and students from different levels of education to participate in applied research projects developed at Age.Comm and in advanced training programs.

e) Promote scientific collaboration with other national and international R & D centres and intensify partnerships with public, private and social institutions at regional and national levels.
